Russian forces execute five Ukrainian POWs in Pokrovsk district

Russian forces shot dead five unarmed captured Ukrainian servicemen in the Pokrovsk district, Donetsk Oblast, on 19 November.

Quote: "On 19 November, during an assault on our positions near the village of Kotlyne in the Pokrovsk district, soldiers of the Russian forces captured five servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
While the disarmed Ukrainian defenders were lying on the ground face down, one of the occupiers opened fire on them with an automatic rifle, killing them."
Details: Under the procedural supervision of the Donetsk Oblast Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation has been launched into a war crime resulting in death (Article 438.2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The investigation is carried out by the Main Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts.
Prosecutors stressed that killing prisoners of war is a gross violation of the Geneva Conventions and constitutes a serious international crime.
