Polish PM says Russia cannot impose its conditions on Europe and Ukraine

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has stated that Russia cannot dictate its terms to Ukraine or Europe, adding that "the US peace proposal requires joint effort".

Details: According to Tusk, Zelenskyy set out his position on the US peace proposal during their discussion.
"It requires [joint] work. Russia cannot impose its conditions on Ukraine or Europe. Everything that concerns Poland must be settled with the Polish government," Tusk wrote on X (Twitter). He had earlier expressed surprise at the provisions mentioning Poland in the 28-point US "peace plan", in the preparation of which Warsaw did not take part.
Zelenskyy also tweeted about his conversation with Tusk on social media.
"I shared details of our diplomatic efforts with the US and Europe. It is important for us that all partners who have stood with us since the very start of this war are fully informed about the situation. We are coordinating to ensure Europe is involved in the process. I thank the Prime Minister [of Poland] and all the people of Poland for their support. We know we can always count on Poland, and we greatly appreciate it," Zelenskyy wrote.
The opening lines of his post are likely linked to the mention of Poland in the leaked 28-point plan – specifically the ninth point, which states that European fighter jets "may be stationed in Poland".
Poland is also mentioned in a draft supplementary document on security guarantees for Ukraine in connection with its participation in the Coalition of the Willing.
