Russian forces conducted a drone attack on the city of Zaporizhzhia on the night of 9-10 October, causing a fire that resulted in the death of a child and injuries to several people.

Details : Shortly after 01:00, Fedorov reported explosions in Zaporizhzhia Oblast amid a Russian drone attack.

Later, he confirmed that the Russians had attacked Zaporizhzhia.

He added that the strikes had caused a fire in the city.

Updated : Fedorov later said that three people had been injured in the attack, including a seven-year-old child.

One of those injured, a 45-year-old man, was taken to hospital in a critical condition.

Fedorov said the Russians had conducted at least seven strikes on Zaporizhzhia.

He reported in the morning that the boy injured in the attack had died in hospital.
