Although the number of attempts by Russian sabotage groups to cross the Ukrainian border has decreased, the risk of infiltration by sabotage groups remains for all border areas, and such cases are often recorded. Details Demchenko stressed that Ukrainian border guards used various assets to track and detect Russian movements and prevent them from entering Ukraine.
Demchenko also noted that the Ukrainian defence forces and the State Border Guard Service use unmanned aerial vehicles UAVs to detect such attempts in time and take out Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups.
In addition to establishing where our soldiers are and where and how our defence line is built, saboteurs often try to place mines in the area so that our defenders will come across these explosives in the future, Demchenko stressed.
