The U.S. leader stated this during a press interaction at an event at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington on the evening of December 7.Responding to a journalist's question about next steps in possible peace negotiations between Ukraine and Russia, Trump noted that he is "a little disappointed" with Zelenskyy's position."We've spoken with President Putin and with Ukrainian leaders, including President Zelenskyy. And I have to say that I'm a little disappointed that President Zelenskyy hasn't read the proposal yet. This was a few hours ago. His people approved it, but he didn't," Trump said. The U.S. leader also claims that Russia has generally agreed to the points of the plan."Russia is okay with it. Russia, if you think about it, would like to have the whole country. But Russia, I believe, is okay with this (with the peace plan - ed.). But I'm not sure Zelenskyy is okay with it. His team supports it, but he hasn't read it," Trump added. On November 28, it was reported that Donald Trump is prepared to recognize Russian control over Crimea and other temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine in order to conclude a peace agreement.
