Ihor Romanenko, founder of the Close the Sky of Ukraine Charitable Foundation and retired Lieutenant General, stated this on Espreso TV."Russian engineering, technical, and scientific personnel are constantly working on modernizing their weapons and equipment. Previously, we knew that Russian unmanned aerial vehicles, such as Molniya, were used as carriers for 'kamikaze' drones. This means that the Russians are looking for other ways, particularly for drones to carry other weapons. We are talking about the R-60 missile – it is a short-range air-to-air missile with an infrared homing head. It has its own peculiarities and dangers," Romanenko noted.According to the retired Lieutenant General, Ukrainian assets of a similar type, namely air-to-air missiles and man-portable air-defense systems, have already been used on naval mother drones."Moreover, they were effectively used to shoot down helicopters that the Russians raised to destroy our naval drones, and this was almost a year ago. That is, both sides are trying to find ways to increase the effectiveness of drones," Romanenko added.Ukraine and the European Union will launch a new grant program with a total fund of 3.3 million euros – EU4UA Defence Tech.
