Deputy Director of the Association of Energy and Natural Resources of Ukraine, energy expert Andriy Zakrevskyi, spoke about this on Espreso TV."As an engineer and an economist, I'm very interested in observing many things. We can see that the 'snake on the frying pan' is beginning to writhe with terrible force, but nothing is working for it. Previously we had to speak cautiously about some matters because we didn't have statistics from Russia. But now I'm certain that Russia's oil production has fallen by 18% this year. We can say that for sure, because there's nowhere to put that oil anymore — we've shut down the routes for both export and processing," Andriy Zakrevskyi noted.According to him, Russia's Orenburg Gas Processing Plant, one of the largest in the world with a capacity of 37 billion cubic meters, was recently hit. It is an old facility that extracts and separates natural gas into its components. Natural gas is a mixture of gases, primarily methane, but it also contains helium, propane, butane, and the ethane group — all of which were produced at the Orenburg plant. The price of technical gases is two to three times higher than that of natural gas, and helium is considered one of the “bitcoins” of the gas chemical industry."We need to keep striking targets like that. We'd also hit the Amur chemical complex a couple more times. I think that will force Moscow into a ceasefire. In my frame of reference, a ceasefire means either oil must drop in price and fall below $47.60, or we must strike Shchekinoazot, Tolyattiazot and the chemical production in Sterlitamak, where they produce explosives 24/7. If we hit that production, it's estimated Russia's stocks would last only about two months, because they're already operating off whatever's left and their old reserves are depleted," the expert commented. On October 19, as a result of an airstrike in Russia, the Orenburg gas-processing plant and the Novokuybyshevsk oil refinery in the Samara region exploded and caught fire.
