President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported the information.According to him, energy facilities and civilian infrastructure in Vinnytsia, Sumy, Poltava, Chernihiv, and Kharkiv regions were hit.Specifically, in Nizhyn, Chernihiv region, a post office building was damaged and one person was injured. In Kharkiv region, the strikes caused destruction to critical infrastructure and damaged a State Emergency Service department, with casualties reported.The President noted that Russian forces are using “double terror” — attacking with drones carrying cluster munitions and carrying out repeated strikes, while rescue workers and energy crews are working to deal with the aftermath.Zelenskyy emphasized that Russia continues daily attacks on Ukraine’s energy system, and the only way to stop the aggression is to increase international pressure.“Putin has turned a deaf ear to everything the world says, so the only language that can still get through to him is the language of pressure – pressure through sanctions and pressure through long-range capabilities,” Zelenskyy stressed.The President added that during his visit to Washington, he plans to discuss with partners ways to strengthen Ukraine’s defense capabilities and steps that could bring peace closer to Europe.On Wednesday, October 15, Russian forces launched attack drones against Ukraine. In Nizhyn, Chernihiv region, the drones hit an apartment building and a Nova Poshta terminal, injuring several people.
