Serhii Bratchuk, the spokesperson of the Ukrainian Volunteer Army, stated this on Espreso TV."Crimea has not disappeared from the agenda. Today, attacks on Russian Federation targets in occupied Crimea are intensifying. This intensification is essentially part of the response to the so-called Russian summer offensive. Indeed, we are talking about the fact that today the Defense Forces of Ukraine continue very active operations in Crimea. These are ground, air, and naval operations. There is destruction of Russian Federation air defense facilities, destruction of naval targets, and strikes on ground targets, including railway infrastructure. After all, the Russian railway today remains a key logistical artery for the invading army," Bratchuk said. The spokesperson of the Ukrainian Volunteer Army did not specify which long-range Ukrainian weapons are currently being routed for strikes in temporarily occupied Crimea. According to him, the phase of wearing down the enemy's air defense on the peninsula has been ongoing for quite some time."The Ukrainian Defense Forces are actively working against Russian military targets in Crimea. This activity also aims to exhaust the enemy's air defense. This phase has been going on for quite a while. Through these actions, the Ukrainian Armed Forces units are paving the way for our other firepower assets. I will not speak now about the Flamingo and Neptune missiles, but the path is being laid. Therefore, I believe that soon, certainly not tomorrow or the day after, but in time, Ukrainian aircraft may appear in the skies over Crimea, which will strike ground targets," he emphasized. On Monday, September 1, Ukrainian fighters launched a drone strike on a Russian airbase in the temporarily annexed Crimea, hitting two Mi-8 helicopters and a vessel.
