A Ukrainian serviceman with the callsign Muchnoy reported this on his Telegram channel. The head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration, Serhii Lysak, also confirmed the information.“My comrades reported that today marked the first strike by Russian FPV drones in the Pokrovsk area, Dnipropetrovsk region. This is a serious signal, as the Russians had not reached this area with such weapons before,” said Muchnoy.Serhii Lysak clarified that the strike hit the market in the Pokrovsk community. Four people were injured, two men and two women. All received medical care and will continue treatment on an outpatient basis. What are the risks? The serviceman explained that the Russians used a so-called “mother drone” — a larger carrier that transports several FPV drones at once and releases them in the air to attack multiple targets. This increases the drones’ range and makes strikes less predictable.“The main problem is, again, the lack of systematic protection along the routes. Roads and settlements already in risk zones still lack sufficient protective nets, shelters, and covers against drones. This creates vulnerabilities for both civilian infrastructure and military equipment moving along the roads,” emphasized Muchnoy. It is worth noting that the distance from Pokrovsk to the frontline is about 30 kilometers, while the distance to Dnipro is about 100 kilometers. On the evening of Saturday, August 30, the Russian occupying army launched attack drones against Ukraine. A man was killed in Kherson, and the strike in Odesa region damaged energy infrastructure.
