Situation intensifies on Lyman front – DeepState

Russian forces have continued to advance near the city of Lyman in Donetsk Oblast.
They are achieving success in certain parts of the line of contact. Source DeepState analytical project Details DeepState reported that the situation in the Nove Katerynivka Nevske area continues to intensify.
Russian troops have an advantage in this front area and are actively carrying out offensive actions. In particular, assaults are being carried out near Novomykhailivka and Russian units have had tactical success on the approaches to Nevske and Nove.
Katerynivka is under constant pressure from the Russian forces.
Quote Unfortunately, the situation in this section is not developing in the best way for the defence forces.
The ineffective use of resources by the brigade that holds that area of responsibility, poor awareness of the situation and Russias advantage with drones and opportunities to strike takes their toll.
The situation is getting worse and needs to be changed.
Background Experts at the Institute for the Study of War ISW speculate that Russian troops could exploit their extended bridgehead northeast of Lyman in order to seize Borova or Lyman in the coming months.
On the night of 67 April, DeepState reported that Russian forces had advanced in three settlements in Ukraines east.
