Background:

• On 21 August, Dnipro Operational Strategic Group reported that Ukrainian troops had retaken most of Tovste. The operation was carried out by defenders from the 5th Separate Heavy Mechanised Brigade.
• On 3 September, DeepState reported that Ukrainian forces had pushed back Russian troops near Tovste.
