Oleksii Tuhai, commander of a mortar battery unit of the mechanized battalion of the 157th Separate Mechanized Brigade, stated this on Espreso TV."The situation in the Vovchansk direction is difficult. The Russian army is pressing and has partial success. However, we are holding on and doing everything possible to prevent them from advancing further," Tuhai said. The serviceman is convinced that despite the partial advance of the Russian troops, the situation in the Vovchansk direction will be stabilized."The Russians got lucky and were able to take advantage of the bad weather. The enemy advanced a bit and managed to enter Vovchansk from the flank. Therefore, they had some success in this direction. However, now the weather has more or less stabilized, and we can use drones. Consequently, Russia no longer has such success today. We are taking many actions to prevent the Russians from advancing further and to push them back. Therefore, I believe the situation in the Vovchansk direction will be stabilized quite quickly," he added. On December 11, the General Staff reported that over the past day, 234 combat engagements took place on the Russian-Ukrainian front.
