Diplomat Roman Bezsmertnyi stated this on Espreso TV."Regardless of any disagreements between Washington and Brussels, or Washington and Kyiv, it's clear to me that Russia will reject any peace plan. This is because Russia's stance simply doesn't include the option of peace. It's crucial to understand this. Therefore, before engaging in disputes with the U.S. or within Europe, it's important to anticipate that such efforts will lead to a stalemate, as peace is not a Russian objective," Bezsmertnyi clarified. The diplomat highlighted that Donald Trump's statements and actions concerning peace negotiations are primarily driven by business interests, with a focus on economic gains."So, why does Donald Trump act this way? It's because business dealings have been ongoing since their initial meeting, long before Anchorage. The most recent meeting also involved similar negotiations. For instance, Russian hydrocarbon assets in Kazakhstan have, quite remarkably, ended up under the control of American businesses. This illustrates the nature of the ongoing trade. While I'm involved in these negotiations and understand the dynamics, I won't openly discuss the specifics. However, I will ensure that I don't compromise Ukrainian values such as freedom, territorial integrity, human rights, and sovereignty in any dealings with Donald Trump. These principles are not negotiable," he added.U.S. President Donald Trump stated that Moscow allegedly agreed to his proposed plan for settling the war, while Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had not even familiarized himself with the document.President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the issue of returning Ukrainian children abducted by Russia, as well as the exchange of all prisoners of war, was included in the 20-point peace plan.
