The plan to end the war that Ukraine is developing with its partners envisages the withdrawal of Russian troops from small areas they have managed to occupy in Sumy, Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk oblasts.

Quote: "Apart from the positions regarding Donetsk Oblast that are still not agreed, the document [the peace plan – ed.] proposed the withdrawal of the Russians from certain small parts of our oblasts where they are currently present. This is what is being discussed. That is, they withdraw from the relevant small areas of Kharkiv, Sumy and Dnipropetrovsk oblasts where they are."
Details: As for the occupied territories of Kherson and Zaporizhzhia oblasts, Zelenskyy said that Russia refuses to leave its positions in these regions.
Quote: "Kherson, Zaporizhzhia [oblasts] – their position is that no, they will not withdraw, and they will stay where they are. That is how it is today. I am simply stating the fact."
Background: The updated 20-point US "peace plan" for Ukraine is said to formally contain no ban on Ukraine's NATO membership and does not oblige Kyiv to renounce its aspiration to join the Alliance.
