Volodymyr Cherniak, an officer with the Rubizh Brigade of the Ukrainian National Guard, stated this on Espreso TV."In terms of infantry, what can be said (about the change in Russian tactics - ed.) is that the Russian forces have increased the number of personnel involved in assault groups, or 'one-time' groups. That is, if previously these were, conditionally, not very professional mobilized soldiers who accumulated in groups, now they have brought in their reserves from the naval infantry. They are now assaulting in groups of five to seven people, meaning they are launching fewer pairs and trios," he said.Volodymyr Cherniak believes that the Russians feel capable of doing this, given the weather conditions."Obviously, they feel some capability, precisely by taking advantage of the weather conditions. Taking advantage of the fact that it is quite difficult to adequately respond to all their attempts to break through, again, due to these weather conditions, they are starting to involve more and more well-trained and professional units in larger numbers. Yes, as we have noticed, even specially designated units, who were already trying to enter our rear in proper camouflage suits with proper weapons," he added.
