Valentyn Nalyvaichenko, Ukrainian lawmaker and former head of Ukraine's Security Service, stated this on Espreso TV."Currently, the U.S. president's personal representatives are expected to brief Trump on the outcome of their nearly five-hour discussions in Moscow with Putin and other participants," Nalyvaichenko clarified. "I do not confirm reports that the Russian leadership rejected Trump's peace plan; that information is incorrect."According to the former head of the Security Service of Ukraine, while detailed information from American partners is limited, it's understood that for several hours, Putin and the Russian leadership attempted to sway the Americans towards economic cooperation and bilateral relations, seemingly to avoid addressing the cessation of aggression. In contrast, the American delegation upheld a stance consistent with Ukraine's position: compelling the aggressor to implement a ceasefire and engage in genuine negotiations for a complete end to aggression, without territorial concessions or other demands from the Kremlin."Consequently, Putin has remained silent on the matter. He instead deployed Ushakov, who issued vague, non-committal statements. This, too, serves as Kremlin propaganda, suggesting a lack of compromise. However, the notion of 'compromises' in this context is misleading; the discussions were not about finding common ground but about something entirely different. Putin is expected to demonstrate a clear understanding and commitment to ending the aggression, beginning with a ceasefire," Nalyvaichenko said. The former head of the Security Service further confirmed that the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council and the Chief of the Ukrainian General Staff are traveling to the United States for discussions with the American delegation, led by Secretary Rubio, to determine next steps. On December 2, five-hour negotiations concluded between Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff, and Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner.
