Quote: "I will not announce it [who will head the Office of the President – ed.]. I want to conduct additional consultations. I have planned them and will do it upon returning to Ukraine. My choice depends on several things – the direction of management, whether we focus more on diplomacy or other important areas.
There are certainly worthy people in Ukraine. I think you will see this."
Background:
- The most viable candidates to take charge of the Ukrainian President's Office are Digital Transformation Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, Defence Minister Denys Shmyhal and Pavlo Palisa, Deputy Head of the Office for Military Affairs, sources in the government told Ukrainska Pravda.
- On 28 November, Zelenskyy announced that he had accepted Andrii Yermak's resignation from the post of head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, and that the institution will now undergo a reboot. The president said he would hold consultations on 29 November with those who could take over as head of the Office.
- After that, Yermak announced that he was joining the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
