Ukrainian Armed Forces' Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi reported the information.According to him, over the past week, search and destroy operations against the enemy were conducted directly in the city of Pokrovsk, covering an area of about 11.5 square kilometers.Syrskyi stated that the mission of the Defense Forces is to protect Ukrainian positions, to find and destroy the maximum number of Russian personnel and equipment, to disrupt their logistics, and to effectively counter the enemy in the air. Currently, the Ukrainian defenders are blocking the Russians' attempts to storm the city with small infantry groups. The Commander-in-Chief reported that the Russian troops, having suffered significant losses, have deployed their operational reserve in the Pokrovsk-Myrnohrad agglomeration area."The aggressor is constantly trying to change the direction of attacks here, using insidious infiltration tactics, including disguising themselves as or taking cover behind the civilian population," explained the Commander-in-Chief.Syrskyi added that during a meeting regarding this front, they discussed strengthening Ukrainian units and the coordinated use of reserves. Special attention is being paid to supporting the advance of Ukrainian assault units.
