Ukrainian Major General Serhii Kryvonos stated this on Espreso TV."If Ukraine's leadership fully grasps the existing opportunity to win this war, a victory could be achievable within the next six to eight months. This timeline is realistic, but it is critically dependent on maintaining continuous, systemic pressure to cripple the Russian economy. This is the clear reality of the situation," he said. The major general warned that the outcome of the war would be drastically different if Ukraine's current political leaders were to make concessions or capitulate. He argued that giving Russia any form of respite would allow them to re-arm and attack again in a few years, at which point Ukraine would face a much more difficult fight."A respite would be disastrous because it would prevent internal order from being established in our country," Kryvonos emphasized. "There are fundamental changes that must be made, ranging from the national leadership down to the personal attitude of every citizen, forcing each of us to answer: Who am I, what is my purpose here, and what is my vision for the future of this nation?"Volodymyr Horbach, the executive director of the Institute for the Transformation of Northern Eurasia, stated that a more or less constructive round of negotiations on a peace plan is not expected before mid-January. Backroom conversations and information leaks could delay the process and cause scandals in the U.S.
