Russia says it will not make concessions on war but supports Trump "peace plan"

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov has said the Russian Federation has no intention of making concessions in its war against Ukraine, even as it has expressed support for the peace efforts of US President Donald Trump.
Source: Russian news agency Interfax, as reported by European Pravda
Details: Ryabkov said that Russia welcomes the Trump administration's efforts to "find reasonable solutions".
Quote: "Different versions of this plan are part of the negotiating process. There can be no talk of any concessions or of surrendering our approaches to the key aspects of the tasks we face, including in the context of the special military operation [as the war against Ukraine is called in Russia – ed.]."
More details: Ryabkov said that Russia is "ready to seek to achieve its objectives primarily by diplomatic means".
"The problem lies in whether there is genuine political will to strictly implement the agreements reached by the leaders in Anchorage, Alaska. For our part, we remain committed to the outcomes of Anchorage and will continue to act within that framework, correlating what is happening now with those basic guidelines set out there by the two presidents", said Ryabkov without clarifying which "outcomes" he meant.
He added that Russia is "ready" to work with what it's been given, commenting on the plan put forward by the US to regulate the Russo-Ukrainian war.
Background:
- As European Pravda reported, on 25 November, US President Donald Trump said he had instructed special envoy Steve Witkoff and US Army Secretary Dan Driscoll to finalise the terms of the "peace deal" between Russia and Ukraine. Witkoff will travel to Moscow, and if the process reaches its final stage of preparation, Trump will meet with Putin and Zelenskyy.
- According to Trump, the biggest concession from Russia would be its agreement to stop hostilities and refrain from seizing new territory.
- The United States and Ukraine have differing views on three points of the "peace plan", including the idea that Ukraine should withdraw without a fight from the part of Donetsk Oblast not under Russian control.
