Details: Ozerov arrived at Moldova's Foreign Ministry on Wednesday 26 November.
After the diplomat entered the building, one of the drones detected in the Florești district was placed outside the ministry.
Foreign Minister Mihai Popșoi is expected to tell the ambassador that such drone incidents are unacceptable.
Regarding Ozerov's claim that Moldova must provide proof that the aircraft are Russian, Popșoi said at a press conference on 26 November that "this statement was heard in Moscow, and the evidence was sent" the previous day, when the drone crashed in Florești.
"As we have already stated in previous notes of protest, Moldova's sovereignty and territorial integrity are at risk when such incidents occur. These incidents are unacceptable," Popșoi said.
Asked whether protest notes are sufficient or further measures are needed, he said: "Given the experience of our neighbouring states, which have responded proportionately in similar situations, we are calibrating our response, taking into account the complex security situation we are facing."
Background:
- On the morning of 25 November, Romania and Moldova confirmed violations of their airspace.
- Moldova later added that it detected six drones, one of which crashed onto the roof of a house in the village of Cuhureștii de Jos.
