US President Donald Trump has said he has discussed Ukraine and Russia in a phone call with Chinese leader Xi Jinping.

Details: Trump described his conversation with Xi as "very good".

"We discussed many topics including Ukraine/Russia, Fentanyl, Soybeans and other Farm Products, etc," the US president wrote without providing further details.

He added that Xi has invited him to visit Beijing in April, and he accepted the invitation. In return, Trump invited Xi to be his guest during a state visit to the United States later this year.

"We agreed that it is important that we communicate often, which I look forward to doing," Trump said.
