Yermak thanked the United States and its President Donald Trump and his team "for their commitment to bring peace".
He added that a second session is scheduled for later on Sunday, during which work on joint proposals with Kyiv's European partners will continue. Final decisions, he said, will be made by Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Background:
- Following reports from the Ukrainian team at the Geneva talks, Zelenskyy said that the US proposals may incorporate a number of elements reflecting Ukrainian perspectives that are vital to its national interests.
