Details: The two leaders exchanged views on the diplomatic situation and the opportunities that have emerged.
Quote: "I briefed the prime minister on our joint work with Europe and the United States on the American plan to end the war. We are working constructively so that the plan is agreed."
More details: Zelenskyy added that, as Schoof informed him, one of the energy packages, specifically various equipment, including transformers, is already heading to Ukraine.
Quote: "Thank you for this and for the consistent and resolute support of the Dutch people. We value all the assistance."
Background:
- Lithuania's electricity transmission system operator Litgrid has previously delivered another support package to Ukraine to strengthen the country's power supply and help restore damaged energy infrastructure.
- In late October it was reported that Germany is contributing €60 million to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund to speed up deliveries of generators, energy equipment and mobile thermal power plants.
