Former U.S. National Security Advisor John Bolton expressed this opinion in an interview with Espreso TV."I think the unpleasant truth is that Donald Trump views international relations as a network of personal sympathies and friendships, and believes that a special bond exists between him and Putin. Putin, much like Xi Jinping or Kim Jong Un, has never seen it in those terms, but that is how Trump frames his relationship with them," commented the former presidential advisor. In his view, Putin, as a former KGB officer, skillfully uses his training to manipulate Trump. The Kremlin sees Trump, in Lenin's famous phrase, as a "useful idiot." They understand perfectly how to influence him and do so with extreme effectiveness. On November 20, it was reported that U.S. President Donald Trump approved a 28-point peace plan for settlement between Russia and Ukraine. The plan was developed by high-ranking officials in his administration over recent weeks in consultation with Russian envoy Kirill Dmitriev and Ukrainian representatives.
