Ukraine brings back 1,000 more bodies of fallen Ukrainians – photos

Ukraine has brought back 1,000 bodies that, as Russia claims, are those of Ukrainian service personnel. Repatriation measures took place on 20 November.

Details: The coordination headquarters said that law enforcement officers will soon carry out all necessary examinations and identification of the repatriated bodies.
The repatriation of the remains was made possible through the joint efforts of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War, the Joint Centre under the Security Service of Ukraine, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Office of the Parliamentary Human Rights Commissioner, the Secretariat of the Commissioner for Missing Persons under Special Circumstances, the State Emergency Service and other agencies.
As of October, since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion, 82 repatriations of bodies had taken place, bringing back the bodies of 13,744 fallen Ukrainian soldiers.
Background:
- On 23 October, 1,000 bodies that Russia claims belong to Ukrainian service members were brought back to Ukraine.
