Valeriy Chaly, chairman of the board of the Ukrainian Crisis Media Center, said this on Espreso TV."We still have a few months to avoid personal pressure on President Zelenskyy in the negotiation process. I do not admit that there will be any arguments to put pressure on the president from outside because he is involved in scandals. This should be immediately abandoned. He is the president of the country and everyone will be pulled along with him," Chaly explained. The diplomat stressed that very active information work is needed now. In particular, by the embassies of Ukraine in other countries, to avoid serious political consequences from the corruption scandal."Information work is needed now so that assistance from the U.S. and partners continues. After all, the problem is not in the scandal itself, but in how it will be resolved. In a warring country, this is not just a corruption story. This is actually about defense and national defense. And this is just the tip of the iceberg, but I would not want us to be publicly dealing with all of this in the next few months. I understand that this story can give informational weapons to Russians and not only, there are many politicians in Europe who will use this. That is, now we need to work dynamically in the information field. It will not be possible to keep silent and we need to show a narrative of fighting corruption. This will be a big plus if the country, in conditions of war, can overcome such challenges. This can greatly strengthen the country if effective and quick steps are taken," he concluded.Germany's Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul assured Ukraine of continued military support while also calling for a decisive fight against corruption.
