Details: In response to the crisis, Lubinets sent official letters to Ukraine's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Italy's Ministry of Justice, European Parliament Vice-President Pina Picierno, Marino Fardelli, the ombudsman of Italy and the Lazio region, and the Italian National Guarantor for the Rights of Persons Detained or Deprived of Liberty, an institution that protects the rights of persons held in places of detention.
Quote: "My advisor Oleksandr Horodetskyi works in Italy and is known to the Ukrainian community in the country as a human rights activist. He took part in a rally demanding proper detention conditions for the Ukrainian citizen, as well as urgent access to medication and food given his health condition. In addition, Horodetskyi personally delivered my letter to Italy's Ministry of Justice."
Details: Lubinets stressed that Kuznetsov's detention in a high-security prison under improper conditions is unacceptable and violates the European Convention on Human Rights.
