This is reported by the official website of the Legacy of War Foundation.During her visit, Jolie spoke with medical personnel, families, and volunteers who live daily under the constant threat of drones, shelling, and mines. She saw how special nets were installed over roads in some parts of the city to partially protect residents from drone attacks. Due to the constant danger, medical facilities and schools were moved to equipped underground premises to ensure the possibility of treatment and education even during shelling. The actress observed this work, calling it an example of the resilience of people living in frontline conditions."The people of Mykolaiv and Kherson live with danger every day, but they refuse to give in. At time when governments around the world are turning their backs on the protection of civilians, their strength, and their support for each other is humbling. After nearly four years of conflict, exhaustion is visible, yet so too is determination. Families want safety, peace, and the chance to rebuild their lives." said Angelina Jolie. She also emphasized that Ukrainians have much in common with people suffering from prolonged military conflicts in various parts of the world. On March 27, Angelina Jolie spoke with 14-year-old Ukrainian Polina from Izium, who was severely wounded as a result of a Russian strike.
