Details : When asked whether his administration is considering providing Ukraine with long-range Tomahawk missiles, Trump replied: "No, not really."
He added that he "could change" his mind, but for now his answer is "no".
Trump was also once again asked about the "final straw" in Russian leader Vladimir Putin's unwillingness to end the war in Ukraine.
Quote : "There is no final straw. Sometimes you have to let it fight out, and they are fighting it out. And it's been a tough war for Putin. He's lost a lot of soldiers, maybe a million. That's a lot of soldiers. And it's been tough for Ukraine."
Previously : CNN reported that the Pentagon had given the green light to supply Ukraine with Tomahawk missiles, though the final decision would rest with Trump.
Background:
- NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte earlier stated that supplying Ukraine with Tomahawk missiles remains "under review" by Trump.
- Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that during his meeting with Trump, the American leader did not say "no" to the possibility of supplying Ukraine with long-range Tomahawk missiles, but did not say "yes" either.
