On the night of 31 October, Ukraine's defence forces struck the infrastructure of the RN-Tuapse Oil Refinery in Russia's Krasnodar Krai.

Details: According to the Ukrainian military, the attack targeted oil-handling infrastructure at the Russian maritime trade port of federal significance, located in the Black Sea bay of Tuapse.

Quote: "Ukraine's defence forces continue to take all necessary measures to undermine the military and economic potential of Russian occupiers and force the Russian Federation to end its armed aggression against Ukraine."

Background:

• A fire broke out in the Russian port of Tuapse on the night of 1-2 November following a drone strike.
• Sources of Ukrainska Pravda later reported that drones operated by the Alpha Special Forces Unit of the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU), together with the defence forces, struck the oil terminal in Tuapse.
