Valerii Romanenko, an aviation expert and leading researcher at the State Aviation Museum, stated this on Espreso TV."If I tell you the numbers, they will shock you. In total, 101 ballistic missiles were launched at Ukraine in October. This has not happened before. If we look at the results of last month, there were about 21 ballistic missiles. That is, the number of ballistic missiles hitting Ukraine has increased almost 5 times. Earlier, we discussed that the Russians would increase ballistic missile strikes due to our lack of anti-missile systems such as Patriot. I don't know if SAMP/T works against ballistic missiles; there have been no reports yet. In total, 87 Iskander-M and 14 Kinzhal missiles were launched in October," the aviation expert noted.According to him, unfortunately, Ukraine's capabilities in destroying such missiles are low, because out of 87 Iskander-M missiles launched at Ukraine, Ukrainian forces managed to shoot down only 14, and out of 14 Kinzhal missiles - only 2. This means the country critically lacks anti-missile systems."Russia has been accumulating these missiles since spring. The Main Intelligence Directorate tells us that the Russians are capable of producing approximately up to 70 missiles, realistically a little less. Russia's plans for 2025 are 750 ballistic missiles and approximately 20 Kinzhal missiles. It is clear that accumulation has been going on for a long time, and now they are actively using this stock against our infrastructure facilities, as well as against military ones - it flies everywhere. Let's recall the strikes on training centers - ballistic Iskanders with cluster warheads also flew there. The Russians are already waging a total war, and accordingly, they are also receiving their share, because they are already saying that they have not seen such a number of drones flying at their facilities," Romanenko commented. On the night of October 30, the Russian army launched a combined attack on critical infrastructure facilities in Ukraine using attack UAVs, as well as air, ground, and sea-based missiles. The defenders of the Ukrainian sky neutralized 623 out of 705 enemy air targets.
