Volodymyr Bitsak, deputy head of the Sumy District Council, stated this on Espreso TV."The Sumy region constantly suffers from enemy guided aerial bombs. The Russians have managed to increase the range of this weapon, but that doesn't affect us, as they are able to terrorize the civilian population even with conventional ones. Every day, the Russians use over 20 bombs on the territory of the Sumy region. The number of these bombs used has remained unchanged throughout the year. It only varies from 10 to 30 daily," Bitsak said.He also explained the difference between a guided aerial bomb and a conventional aerial bomb, which the Russian troops use on the region's territory."By the way, I would like to explain the difference between guided aerial bombs (KABs) and conventional ones - FABs. They differ in that a KAB is essentially a kind of aluminum aircraft to which a bomb is attached. Thanks to its flaps, this aerial bomb can glide through the air and operates based on coordinates set before launch. And they use these KABs en masse," he concluded. In the Sumy region, a passenger minibus was damaged as a result of a Russian drone attack on October 26, 2025. The incident occurred on a highway near the Mykolaivka rural community.
