The main goal of such Russian actions is to create chaos in Ukraine's defense. After all, when there is no understanding of where the invading forces are, where their ambushes are, what they have mined, etc. — all of this generates a great deal of chaos. This is what the enemy is currently engaged in.On the other hand, the Russian troops also have chaos in terms of organization. Or a chaotic presence. They are moving in to set up ambushes, mine routes, and conduct reconnaissance.In some places, enemy groups engage in firefights with our rear units: mortar crews and drone pilots. However, a situation very often arises where the Russian army tries not to engage in combat in order not to reveal its position, but simply to move and accumulate forces.Everything described above shows that Putin is talking nonsense when he claims Pokrovsk is surrounded. It cannot be surrounded by sparse and uncoordinated groups of enemy infantry.But the chaotization of the defense, which I wrote about above, could ultimately lead to irreparable consequences. However, there is still hope for improvement.Chronology of the battlesThe first sightings of enemy groups in the city were recorded back in July. The Russian troops entered from the south of Pokrovsk, from the village of Zvirove. At that time, it was nothing more than raids by sabotage and reconnaissance groups heading in one direction. In fact, it was reconnaissance of infiltration routes.Subsequently, the geography expanded: the Russian army infiltrated through Shevchenko, and later — along the railway from the direction of Kotlyne.The accumulation of groups in the city occurred gradually. Russians were positioned among houses and buildings, taking advantage of the dense development, the presence of basements, and cellars.Now, there has been a real breakthrough: the Russian army has entered the city in sufficiently large numbers in a place where "the reports were beautiful, but the defense was poor."Myrnohrad is in dangerThe attack on Pokrovsk also signifies a logistical blow to the entire agglomeration. Pressure on the neighboring Myrnohrad is also already underway from several directions: Promin, Moskovske, Myrolyubivka, Novoekonomichne, and Krasny Lyman.In such conditions, the worst issue is logistics. Not only to Myrnohrad but also to the southern lines of our defense, for example, in Lysivka, Sukhyi Yar, and Novopavlivka. I have the greatest concerns about this area, because, in fact, there are no possibilities for normal logistics in this region.What can be done?Blocking infiltration from the south is priority number 1. If the breach where one of the brigades' area of responsibility is "leaking" is not closed, there will be no progress.Clearing operations. There are currently some signs that this is happening.Bringing in fresh forces capable of holding the defense. Obviously, the brigades that have been holding the defense in Pokrovsk and the agglomeration for a long time are completely exhausted. They need rotation.Honest reports on the situation.
