DeepState: Russian forces expand control zone in central Kupiansk

Russian forces have recently managed to amass troops in Kupiansk and are advancing south through the city.

Quote: "The enemy has expanded its control zone in the central part of Kupiansk. The situation in the city remains difficult as groups that infiltrated over the past four weeks have accumulated enough infantry and are attempting to move towards the southern part of the city.
For context, the defence forces have repeatedly destroyed enemy units near the turnoff from the R-79 motorway towards Sadky. The occupiers' ultimate goal is to reach the crossing at Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi."
Details: DeepState added that the number of Russian troops in the city is significant but noted that "a large number of Ukrainian pilots are operating overhead, which reduces the enemy's offensive potential".
Quote: "Stabilisation operations are ongoing in the city centre, and it is possible that special forces will release some footage, but these missions are mostly raids designed to prevent Russian troops from regrouping or advancing. The coming weeks will be decisive for the fate of Kupiansk. Either Ukraine's defence forces will find reserves for stabilisation, or, unfortunately, the enemy will amass a critical number of infantry."
More details: DeepState also reported on Monday 20 October that Russian forces had advanced in the settlements of Vovchansk in Kharkiv Oblast, Plavni in Zaporizhzhia Oblast and near Toretsk and Bila Hora in Donetsk Oblast.
