Vadym Skibitskyi, Deputy Chief of the Main Intelligence Directorate stated this, Espreso correspondent Kateryna Halko reports.According to the Main Intelligence Directorate, the strategic exercise Zapad-2025 demonstrated that the Union State (of Russia and Belarus) is practicing operational scenarios not only against Ukraine but also against the Baltic countries and Poland."We are constantly monitoring the entire situation related to the territory of Belarus, including the military activity of not only the armed forces of Belarus but also the armed forces of the Russian Federation. Today, we do not observe activity or, let's say, powerful groupings. And this is positive. The threat level remains low. But the plans of the Russian Federation regarding the use of this territory, and I repeat, the Zapad exercises demonstrated this. Russia is genuinely preparing for a possible conflict. And the plans of the Union State, together with Belarus, have not changed. This involves conducting various types of operations not only against Ukraine but also against the Baltic countries, the countries of Northern Europe, and primarily Poland," the statement reads.On October 18, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Poland, Marcin Kierwiński, reported that border guards had discovered a 20-meter tunnel on the Polish-Belarusian border.
