Reuters reported the information.North Korea has pledged to develop submarines capable of launching ballistic missiles and has test-fired them from submerged platforms, though it’s unclear if it has mastered such launches. It is also working on nuclear-powered submarines.Ahn told the parliament’s Defense Committee that it appeared true that North Korea was receiving “various technologies” for its submarine development. However, he said it was too early to conclude that Pyongyang had test-launched a submarine-launched ballistic missile (SLBM).“North Korea and Russia have dramatically upgraded military cooperation in the past two years, with Pyongyang deploying more than 10,000 troops to fight in the war against Ukraine in return for economic and military technology assistance, according to South Korean intelligence assessments,” the outlet concluded.
