EU to allocate €10M to create tribunal for Russian aggression

She made the announcement during a press conference in Kyiv.Kallas, who is visiting the Ukrainian capital on October 13, said that the first €10 million will go toward creating the Special Tribunal for the crime of Russian aggression.She said that Russian leaders bore responsibility for the war, noting that there would be no war crimes if there had been no crime of aggression, and therefore no atrocities. She stressed that no one should go unpunished for the crimes committed, adding that the forced deportation of children and rape represented some of the darkest chapters of Russia’s war.She also announced an additional €6 million in support for children deported by Russia and victims of sexual violence, explaining that this funding would help ensure the victims of these crimes received the necessary assistance.On June 25, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited the Palace of Europe in Strasbourg, where he signed a bilateral agreement with the Council of Europe to create a Special Tribunal for the crime of aggression against Ukraine.
