Ukraine's Security Service: Russian commander Sirotyuk ordered execution of civilians in Kupiansk

Russian commander Andrei Sirotyuk has been linked to the execution of three civilians in the city of Kupiansk in Kharkiv Oblast on 2 October 2025.

Quote : "The Security Service has identified a Russian military officer responsible for the shooting and death of three civilians in Kupiansk on 2 October 2025.
This concerns Russian citizen Andrei Sirotyuk – commander of the 121st Regiment of the 68th Motorised Rifle Division of Russia's 6th Combined Arms Army.
According to case materials, in order to sow panic in the frontline city, enemy soldiers disguised themselves in civilian clothing and, posing as local residents, entered the outskirts of Kupiansk.
They then shot and killed two men and a woman at close range as they tried to evacuate deeper into Ukrainian territory."
Details : Sirotyuk was identified during the investigation of this crime under Article 438.2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (war crimes causing deaths).
Background :
