Strikes hit energy sites in Russia’s Bryansk and Belgorod regions

Russian regional officials and local media reported the information.In the Bryansk region, a thermal power plant in the city of Klintsy was struck, sparking a large fire. Video footage circulating on Russian Telegram channels showed flames engulfing part of the facility. Twenty-four settlements were left without electricity, and water supply was also disrupted. A fire broke out at the Luch substation following a series of explosions.Gladkov said emergency services had been deployed and that repair crews were “working around the clock.”According to the governor, the Belgorod region came under “10 shelling attacks and 22 drone strikes,” with a total of 31 munitions fired. He reported several injuries, including a 10-year-old boy and a local official.In total, Gladkov said 37 drones carried out strikes, 31 of which were intercepted by air defense. Damage was reported to multiple residential buildings, cars, and infrastructure facilities across the region.Russian Telegram channels also reported power outages in Graivoron and nearby villages, as well as fires at energy facilities.Earlier this week, Ukraine’s security service (SBU) was reported to have carried out a long-range drone attack on the Orsknefteorgsintez oil refinery, located some 1,400 km from Ukraine.On October 3, media reported that SBU drones struck one of Russia’s largest oil refineries — Orsknefteorgsintez — located 1,400 kilometers from Ukraine.
