Political analyst Volodymyr Fesenko shared his opinions on Espreso TV.“Today’s strike on Kyiv is far from the first, and, I fear, not the last aerial attack. It targets civilians and, unfortunately, will continue as a means of pressure. Today’s attack on Kyiv was a show of force — a message from Putin to Trump that Russia is not a ‘paper tiger.’ He is signaling that he has weapons and will continue these attacks. Ukraine needs the means to respond. Yes, we have some long-range capabilities, but American long-range weapons could significantly strengthen our capacities,” Fesenko said. The analyst stressed that the issue of supplying Ukraine with American long-range weapons remains unresolved.“The U.S. Secretary of State in New York said negotiations are underway for Ukraine to receive not just defensive, but also offensive weapons. This can be interpreted in different ways, but I believe the Ukrainian side refers specifically to long-range weapons. So the matter is being considered, but whether it will be resolved remains open,” he added. On the evening of Saturday, September 27, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with strike drones, followed by missiles at night. In Zaporizhzhia, 27 were wounded, and in Kyiv on the morning of September 28, four were killed, including a 12-year-old girl.
