Piotr Kulpa, former secretary of the Polish delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly and former Deputy Minister of Economy of Poland, said this in an interview with Antin Borkovskyi, host of the Studio West program on Espreso TV."The point is that this strike (UAV in Poland, - ed.) was predictable. About three weeks ago, strategic simulations were conducted which showed that what has changed in Ukraine is the acquisition of strategic weapons. The strategic drones that are destroying Russia's economy daily are from the company Fire Point, and before that, the appearance of the Flamingo missile and the announcement that Fire Point is capable of producing 7 missiles a day, show that in the autumn – early winter of this year, Ukraine will have strategic strike capabilities that can somewhat substitute for a nuclear strike," he said.In his opinion, if several hundred missiles and drones are launched to strike Russia, there will be no adequate response."Then, the escalation ladder was shown. The first step is a tactical nuclear strike. But it has been proven that, firstly, this is impossible due to China's position, and secondly, it would change nothing. A simple nuclear weapon strike would change nothing – a strike by several hundred missiles would be much more powerful. This means that horizontal escalation remains, taking the form of a strike on countries like Finland, the Baltic states, and Poland," the politician said.Kulpa believes that Russia's goal is to involve the U.S., so that they would place a hand on the strategic weapons, making it impossible to use them without Washington's consent."And Putin is not afraid of a deal with Trump, as Trump has shown his boundless patience and tendency to make concessions and to try to feed this agreement—by which Trump is trying to turn Putin against China—with our security and our sovereignty. This moment is key. The real reason for the escalation, for actions still below Article 5, is to involve the U.S. so that they take responsibility for the use of strategic weapons. NATO's actions were also tested, and it showed that NATO worked for real. From Trump, we heard that it was a mistake. The horizontal connections worked – Scandinavian, Baltic, Ukraine. And a reflection of this was the trip of Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski, who on the day the Security Council was discussing this attack, did not go to New York, but went to Kyiv – to agree on how exactly to apply Ukraine's experience against drones, how to protect Finland, the Baltic countries, and above all, Poland in the conditions of war," the public figure believes. In his opinion, what was received is also a big plus."Therefore, if you look realistically at what is happening, you cannot miss the main thing: Ukraine with its army, with its strategic weapons capable of tearing apart the Russian economy and infrastructure (transport, airports, etc.), which compromise and bring the Putin regime to its knees, ridicule it before the whole world, and above all, question its existence and legitimacy before its own society. All this seems to be the factor contributing to the fact that we are already hearing talk that Russia is losing this war - this is now being said openly and very seriously, which was previously unthinkable," said Kulpa. The politician added that the key question is – what's next?"After all, the collapse of Russia as a consequence of a lost war is a geopolitical blow to the United States, that's what we're talking about. What else we saw was a lack of unity between Europe and the U.S. As for Europe, it received information that it is not able to respond to Russia otherwise than by striking Russia, without Ukraine – therefore, it is necessary to help Ukraine. I have heard about the idea of creating a public fundraising campaign to finance additional missiles that could be used to respond. For every attack against the Scandinavian countries, the Baltic countries, Poland, and other countries - so that people, regardless of what governments do, could raise money and finance an additional scaling of what Putin will receive in response," he concluded.
