Piotr Kulpa, the former secretary of the Polish delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly and former Deputy Minister of Economy of Poland, said this in an interview with Antin Borkovskyi, host of the Studio West program on Espreso TV."Putin's level of sovereignty here is practically zero. China decides when he fights, and the moment China receives guarantees that stopping the war will not mobilize resources against it, will not bring aggression from the West closer, it will calmly stop aid to Russia - and that's it. This is how I see it today. Preparations are underway for a meeting between Trump and Comrade Xi, and they are proceeding with difficulty. The earliest date for a meeting, in my opinion, just a bilateral one, is the end of October - November, if this whole structure can be organized by then. And then we will get a window of opportunity to stop this war," he said.According to Kulpa, Putin will not stop this war on his own."He, like an amphetamine addict, is dependent on the war. In a war economy, the moment the war stops, the country simply collapses. Now, a temporary cessation of the war for Putin, when he presses STOP, means he flies out through the windshield along with his entourage. He will not do this; he will fight to the last bullet. And, by the way, Trump is creating such a prospect, because he says that the war will end when Putin stops shooting," the official added. The politician noted that in this way, Putin is not afraid to continue the war and fight to the last bullet."If Trump wanted a temporary cessation of the war, he should have told Putin: either you stop the war within two weeks, or within these two weeks Ukraine will receive guarantees of funding for the next ten years for weapons of its choice, guarantees of financial assistance, etc., all forms of guarantees - and then it may happen that something will change. But today Trump has made Putin the master of the war," he stressed.Kulpa believes that it is necessary to understand that this war will end with peace, not a truce, if two conditions are met."First, Russia ceases to be part of the European security architecture - it must be excluded. We return to the principle that nothing about Europe is ever agreed upon with Russia. Second, the difference in the security status of the Baltic countries, Poland, and Ukraine is eliminated - thus, Ukraine becomes a member of NATO. If this is not done and the difference in security status is maintained, it will be an invitation to another war," the official said. The politician stressed that a lost war for Russia is determined primarily by the seizure of resources."Today I see their economy in the deepest crisis. The question is not the depth of the crisis, but how quickly it is growing. I see it as a large ball that starts rolling down a mountain and gains speed. To stop this, the Putin regime will be forced to freeze Russia to make it similar to North Korea. What we will observe is the tightening of screws, being cut off from the Internet, etc., a fall in the standard of living, and an absolute closure of the border. But this will be temporary," he noted.Kulpa believes that the formula of Russia as a collection of states - colonies of Moscow and a prison of nations - has exhausted itself, and the process of collapse is inevitable."Without strong external financial support and strong pressure, it has no chance of surviving as a single state. The pace, I think, depends on access to funds, which is being quite severely restricted. Therefore, the main thing is to maintain patience, to understand the importance of strategic weapons as a factor of strength, to understand the importance of the army and the military-industrial complex of Ukraine as the only guarantee of well-being after the war and of not only winning the war but also winning the peace," the official concluded.
