Russian massive attack on Ukraine kills civilians in Dnipropetrovsk, Khmelnytskyi regions

Kyiv regionAt 4:00 a.m., the Kyiv Regional Military Administration reported the movement of enemy UAVs and the operation of Air Defense Forces in the region.According to the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, Mykola Kalashnyk, the consequences of the Russian attack were recorded in three districts.In the Boryspil district, about 10 garage premises were damaged.In the Obukhiv district, a fire broke out in a private residential building as a result of the enemy attack. State Emergency Service fighters are working at the scene.In the Bucha district, the fall of debris from a downed target caused five passenger cars to catch fire. The fire has already been extinguished.

Attack on Mykolaiv and the regionAt 4:40 a.m. and 5:11 a.m., the mayor of Mykolaiv, Oleksandr Sienkevych, reported explosions in the city.As of 6:51 a.m., he reported that the enemy had attacked Mykolaiv with drones and missiles."Preliminarily, there are no casualties. And that is the most important thing. Our utility services are checking the residential sector for damage," Sienkevych added.Later, the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, Vitaliy Kim, clarified that Russia had launched a massive combined strike on the city with ballistic missiles and Shahed-type UAVs. Industrial infrastructure was under attack, and fires broke out. Also, according to his information, at night the enemy attacked a farm in the Snihurivka community with Shaheds. A warehouse fire occurred. The blast wave damaged four private houses and two cars.
Dnipro and the regionThe mayor of Dnipro, Borys Filatov, reported that the Russians hit a residential high-rise building with a missile.The head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak, informed that the Dnipropetrovsk region was under a massive attack. The aggressor used drones and missiles."As a result of the enemy's terror, according to preliminary data, one person was killed. Condolences to the relatives. Thirteen others were injured. Most of the victims were hospitalized in a moderate condition. One man is in 'serious' condition," noted the head of the Regional Military Administration.According to his information, several fires broke out in Dnipro and the district. A high-rise building, private houses, farm buildings, and garages were damaged. There is destruction on the territory of enterprises.An enterprise in Pavlohrad also came under attack, where a fire started. 

At 8:48 a.m., Serhiy Lysak reported that the number of victims of the massive attack on the region had increased."Currently, there are 26 victims in Dnipro. 14 are in the hospital, the rest will recover at home. A 55-year-old man is in serious condition. He has burns on 70% of his body. Doctors are fighting for his life. The aftermath is currently being dealt with. All emergency services are with the people," he added.Odesa regionAccording to Ukraine's State Emergency Service, a fire broke out in a warehouse of a farm as a result of an enemy attack on the Odesa region. A warehouse building with agricultural machinery was also destroyed.

Khmelnytskyi regionThe head of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Tyurin, reported that as a result of the enemy attack, according to preliminary data, 2 houses were destroyed in the region, and approximately 20 residential buildings were damaged."It is with deep sadness that I report that as a result of the enemy attack in the Dunaivtsi community, the body of a deceased man, born in 1979, was found during the extinguishing of a fire in one of the houses. My sincere condolences to the relatives and loved ones. Two local residents also sought medical assistance, without hospitalization," he added.Zelenskyy's reactionThe President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, reacted to the enemy attack. He noted that the Dnipro and the region, Mykolaiv region, Chernihiv region, Zaporizhzhia, communities in the Poltava, Kyiv, Odesa, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions were under attack. The Russian target, as the president emphasized, was infrastructure, residential areas, and civilian enterprises."Every such strike is not a military necessity, but a conscious strategy of Russia to intimidate civilians and destroy our infrastructure. That is why a strong international response is needed. Ukraine has proven that it can defend itself and Europe, but for a reliable shield, we must act together: strengthen air defense, increase the supply of weapons, expand sanctions against the Russian military machine and the spheres that finance it. Every restriction on Russia is a life saved. I thank everyone who helps and supports us," the head of state noted.On the evening of Thursday, September 18, the invading Russian army launched attack drones against Ukraine. One civilian was injured in the Kyiv region.
