Serhii Dzherdzh, head of the Ukraine - NATO public league, stated this on Espreso TV.He commented on the nature of potential Russian aggression against the West."We imagine 100 bomber planes, or a column of 500 tanks. But hybrid warfare operates differently. Today, the Russians don't need to plant a Russian flag in Warsaw. It is important for them to destroy the decision-making systems in NATO and the European Union. And to laugh about it. That is their victory—when powerful giants like NATO and the European Union, due to internal reasons, fail to take radical steps, and consensus is reduced to some lenient measures and peacekeeping statements. Then, Russia gets what it wants: NATO and the EU will not react," said Dzherdzh. The politician added that this would already be a victory for the Russian Federation, and this is how it might look."Therefore, this is a war fought in a hybrid way. This is how it can look. It is obvious to Russia that NATO is currently stating that its warehouses are half-empty because significant efforts have been directed to helping Ukraine. There is a debate between Europe and the United States about who is the greater beneficiary of NATO's security and how to defend Europe going forward. This is precisely the time for Russia to carry out these provocations. And that is what they are doing," the expert noted. He also emphasized that the drone incursion into Poland was a deliberate act."Imagine if, on that day, the main target of the drone attack on Ukraine was Odesa or Kharkiv, very far from Poland, and 20 drones flew there. Then it would be obvious that this was an absolute Russian provocation. But they camouflaged it; on that day, they shelled the Volyn and Lviv regions. This allows the Russian ambassador, when summoned to the Polish Foreign Ministry, to claim it was an accident. In other words, Russia conceals everything in such a way that it constitutes a hybrid war, thereby avoiding a sharp response. It sounds like this: for NATO, it is too early to respond to Russia today, but tomorrow it may be too late," Dzherdzh concluded.Russian drones in Polish airspace.
