The Center for Countering Disinformation reported the information.Information is spreading online, including a video on TikTok, claiming that, allegedly, after men aged 18 to 22 inclusive were given permission to travel abroad, Ukrainians are leaving the country en masse. This information is not true.According to the State Border Guard Service, the new category of citizens who may cross the border has not increased passenger flows."On August 28, 2025, 127,000 citizens crossed the border — the same number as the day before. At the same time there was a predominance of entries: on August 28, 2,000 more Ukrainians entered the country than left; the day before that figure was 7,000," the Center for Countering Disinformation clarified. The number of men aged 18–22 at checkpoints was not high.As the Center for Countering Disinformation explains, overall passenger traffic remains large due to the summer season."For comparison: in the spring on weekdays 75,000–85,000 people crossed the border per day; now — 125,000–135,000, and on weekends this figure reaches 150,000. The purpose of the fake is to create the impression of a 'mass exodus of youth' and to discredit the decision of the Ukrainian authorities," the Center for Countering Disinformation added. On August 27, the Cabinet of Ministers published a resolution allowing men aged 18–22 to cross the border. The government has been asked to consider the possibility of allowing men up to 24 years old to travel abroad.
