The Russian dictator has an interest in gaining a respite and also in realizing his goals, at least some of them, by diplomatic means."Trump should understand that as well. In this context the main task now is to stop Putin as soon as possible and in such a way as to deprive him of the ability to dictate the terms of any negotiations.
