The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported the information.The Defense Force units are engaged in heavy defensive battles against a superior enemy. In the Pokrovsk sector alone, Russia has concentrated a grouping of more than 110,000 personnel.“To penetrate deep into our defenses, the Russian invaders are acting brazenly. Despite losses, they are trying to infiltrate through our defensive lines with sabotage and small infantry groups,” the General Staff said.Several small Russian army groups, bypassing the positions of Ukrainian defenders, attempted to advance toward the settlement of Zolotyi Kolodiaz.Moreover, taking advantage of the local terrain, saboteurs secretly infiltrated the settlements of Vesele, Vilne, Rubizhne, and Kucheriiv Yar. Some of these groups have already been destroyed; the rest are in the process of being eliminated.The General Staff emphasizes that the situation is difficult and dynamic, but the Ukrainian Defense Forces are taking all necessary measures to detect and destroy enemy groups. By decision of the Commander-in-Chief, additional forces and assets were allocated to strengthen the resilience of the defense, and measures were planned to block enemy groups in the designated area.“Reserve units have already detected the enemy and achieved initial successes: the invaders are being destroyed and taken prisoner. Ukraine’s defenders are focused on their assigned tasks, holding the lines, and need the support of the entire society to repel new enemy assaults,” the General Staff stressed.Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi ordered additional forces and assets to be deployed to detect and destroy sabotage groups in the Pokrovsk sector.
