Defence Express reported this information.According to their data, Russia may have already used this new type of small cruise missile to strike Ukrainian territory. On the morning of August 7, the monitoring channel monitor reported the flight of a "Banderol"- type cruise missile toward Mykolaiv from the south.Later, another Telegram channel published an image of the downed missile, noting that it was another, still unknown cruise missile. Visually, it resembles the British-French Storm Shadow missile, and in concept, it is similar to Ukraine’s "Hell".It’s worth noting that the "Banderol" is also a new type of Russian weapon, first made public this spring.Initially thought to be a drone, the "Banderol" was later identified as the S8000 cruise missile, which Russians themselves showcased at the Kapustin Yar test site. Visually, it resembles the American AGM-158C LRASM. The Russian "Banderol" is a relatively cheap cruise missile with a range of up to 500 km.The S8000 "Banderol" is powered by a Chinese SW800Pro-A95 turbojet engine and includes several components of Western origin. Its OFBCH-150 warhead weighs 114.3 kg."Given that the new mysterious Russian cruise missile is conceptually similar to the 'Hell', it’s worth recalling this weapon type – first unveiled late last year. It’s a small cruise missile, though called a 'drone missile'," analysts note.Open sources indicate that the "Hell" has a range of up to 700 km, speeds of up to 700 km/h, an estimated length of up to 2 meters, and a warhead weighing over 50 kg, powered by a small turbojet engine. It was also recently reported that the S8000 "Banderol" contains foreign components from China, Australia, South Korea, Japan, and several other countries.
